Most of them know it isn't ideal. They do it anyway, because the work needs to get done, the tools exist, and the phone in their pocket has access to every major AI service for the price of a streaming subscription.
And even where the organisation has an enterprise contract with a no-training clause, the data still leaves the network. It's retained for 30 days for "abuse monitoring". It's accessible to the provider's personnel. It falls under foreign jurisdiction. A clause does not give the data back.
A policy doesn't stop it. An enterprise contract doesn't cover it. The only way to remove the risk is to make the right tool the easiest tool.
